Переглядів 51 тис.10 місяців тому
Have you tried horse meat before? In today's video, I visit Borlänge, Sweden known for being Sweden's ugliest city according to a poll done in 2018. My video about Västerås: ua-cam.com/video/xa-Y8UuA4n0/v-deo.html I also ate horse meat for the first time. Horse meat is illegal in the USA, but ap...

Houses from several hundred years ago they remodeled and devided apartments to fit more tenants. People in Sweden understand the value of old culture and architeckt built houses. We Keep the old houses instead of demolish it and build 500 feet high concrete boxes.

I LOVE that you did this. Thank you so much.
This is a classic in scania: ua-cam.com/video/L-8jjLA21wM/v-deo.html This one: ua-cam.com/video/AzlipxrzMe4/v-deo.html
I'm Swedish but I love small talk, it's a bit more socially accepted in scania where I'm from but wish Sweden was more like America in this regard.
Län or now Region is the political division of Sweden. But Landskap as you say has no actual political importance anymore, but I think that is what people most identify with culturly. Like if someone in Sweden ask another swed "I love your accent where are you from?" They will probably answer with you Landskap not your län.
"Nu är det dags för en sup igen. 2x2 är 95. 3x5 är 7. Hur fasen räknar du?!?" - a swedish drinking song 😉
I hate people that put their boring vids up for anyone and everyone to see then complain about people leaving hateful comments. If you can't take it then don't put yourself out there. Also I wanted to know important things about living in Sweden, instead I hear about stupid sh*t like the price of coffee, dish cloths, locks on doors. Moving on. BORING!
"Lagom" might be seen as meaning "perfect". I mean, it means "not too much, not too little". So basically "perfect". But "lagom" lacks the enthusiasm of "perfect". It is more "well, it's close enough, don't bother trying to get it perfect, it's not that crucial".
Parasoll is basically French, Par a Sol. For when sun. And the opposite Swedish word, paraply, is also French. Par a Plui, For when rain. So, a parasol against the sun, and a paraply against the rain.
I was often offered food from my friends parents but i often declined. Firstly because I would have to call home and tell my parents that i wasn't coming home for dinner and secondly because i didn't like eating with other parents. Then you had to apply proper dinner etiquette and it was also kinda stiff sitting their eating someone else's cooking and you could not be as picky as you were. It just felt more comfortable eating at home with my own family.
Nothing better than to watch Americans have a bad reaction to our most beloved candy, the salted liquorice. The guy with the backwards cap did get his Swedish ancestry revoked though. That's how we test everyone's Nordicness.
You are great!
Yes this is true! I just found a Swedish dishcloth website that straight up now states “watch out for imposters” that many are trying to imitate them and their products but that the real one ☝️ has the true sustainable cloths. And guess what I was shocked 🫢 😳 when it stated our cloths are 70% cellulose and 30 % cotton, that’s when my mind started going wait this sounds familiar haha 🤣 damn papaya!
I’m Swedish, living in Sweden, and I genuinely can’t remember seeing a crooked toilet here before. At least not on purpose.
hur kunde du inte ha med 'aj.. chilla.'
15:55 : As children, we dipped our tongues into the container with its contents, or you poured it into your mouth
10:49 He sounds like the Sardaukar battle pray xD
That ”big old church” is the same church my parents had there wedding in
And yea I live in Dalarna
I was just about to subscribe to the channel but I don't trust people who dislike Leif GW Persson
Wait isn’t the maskros thing about them shoving it on your nose so you have a yellow nose? 4:24
6:25 ur rly good at swedish. it sounded exactly as swedish ppl would say it!
We do get sandy, "beachy" places but they're not very often by the sea :/
You forgot 'Jerry pratar spanska'. Haha
Cecilia should have brougth out "What swedish children wants more than anything in the entire world".
I saw the Immigration video. You came back? It got solved? Anyway, youre welcome in sweden, regards / All swedish people.
YOURE JEWISH
Jävla Migrationsverket! Sån här go människa slänger ni ut, medans MENA kulturberikare får stanna och röda mattan utrullad! Era jävla tomtar!
Lakrisal would have made a surströmming type of reaction here I guess.
Very good observations
Brännboll är jävligt roligt
What can I say, we love rocks. Beach vibes is located at sandstränder not badplatser
@Meagan "EEW" is apparently a many thousand year old giant natural groundwater-spring. The sign says it comes from the north with very high pressure thru a mighty(mäktigt) sand layer under Tunaslätten. Medieval people used to come there to wash/drink and christian people call it a "trefaldighetskälla" with means it was believed to have healing properties. Today most of Borlänges drinking water comes from there. The bubbling is the water being pushed up thru the sand from down below with high pressure.
Will you buy it again?
Your Swedish is absolutely ok. And your Swedish will definitely improv. Your "language ear" is obviously really good.
"Vem vare som kasta?!" 😁
Probably because the parents weren't planning on guests, also kids often visit every fucking day, imagine paying for a kids meal everyday
she has such a nice smile wtf
Funny that you are starting right outside my school haha and every place i always are at and i think i saw myself in the video haha 😅 at torsångs café
Typical Dalarna. I grow up eating horse meat. And I got horses. Historical, those who slaughtered horses was the lowest people in society. But in Dalarna (which was ver poor) people ate horse meat, to good meat to waste.
10:59 SOUND LIKE HES FARTING!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Skörda offer" would be "claim/claiming victims"
If you find that something seems weird here, like foodstuff in tubes, you just have to think like a Swede; "is it more practical this way?" if the answer is yes or maybe, you got your answer. One of our favourite words, as I guess you've noticed by now, is "praktiskt"(practical), we absolutely love things practical! Why is such a large part of the car fleet station wagons? Why do IKEA sell flat packs(+economical reasons)? Why do everyone have a shoehorn? It's Practical! 😂 Why do we have comparatively small bedrooms? It's impractical, you just sleep there, better use the space in other rooms that you utilise more. If a swede would've had something to do with creation homo sapiens I'm sure we could've found something to make us more practical as a species! 🤣 I think you'll make a great Swede and you'll learn to love Kalles kaviar, it's the s__t! I don't care much for the crayfish either, they're just too impractical, havskräftor on the other hand is tastier and more practical! 👍
Damn, the shoehorn is both practical and keeps the heels of your shoes in good order, what's not to like? A good horn needs two things, length, never less than 40cm, and it should be made out of metal, plastics get to thick if are to be sturdy enough. Why does every(almost anyway) Swede have a shoehorn at home? Because we don't trott around our homes in our outdoor shoes. Btw we have tastier standard coffe than Gevalia... 😉 For you Americans there is something of a domestic rivalry in Sweden regarding coffe, because there are a few big brands from different parts of the country. Although there actually is something behind it as the same brand will not taste exactly the same all over the country as it comes down to the water you brew it with. We are quite particulate when it comes to coffe... 😊 Liked your video! 👍
we won that because Falun voted for us...
After feeling between sand or rock? I knew it.
D
Cool video this is my home town since 1973 except that I lived in England for 5 years.
I live in said ugliest city, I eat horse mostly in spring and winter. It's pretty normal, but very expensive. The bubbling you see in the water is more water coming up, not air. As for how ugly, the city center is very ugly and modern but outside towards the church is much better.
